Emily Host began her career in education as a third grade teacher in the South Bronx. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in Art History, she was excited to inspire students and learn from them. After spending two years in the classroom and earning her Masters in Teaching from Pace University, Ms. Host pursued her passion for arts education in Washington, DC. She spent several years working in museums and in the coaching and training of new teachers. She felt called back to the classroom to continue to have a greater impact on students. Ms. Host is privileged to work with the scholars of Equitas Academy and to help create lifelong learners in her home state of California. In her free time, you can find Ms. Host exploring museums and restaurants.
