Ms. Rivera was raised in Los Angeles and this is her first year as a Program Leader at Equitas Academy. She attended Gertz-Ressler, a College Ready Academy, where she appreciated the positive influence her teachers had on her and her classmates. Her teachers encouraged her to go beyond high school and into college. Ms. Rivera would like to do the same for the students at Equitas Academy. She currently attends West Los Angeles College and is planning to transfer to a University in order to become a Registered Nurse. In her spare time, Ms. Rivera likes to play volleyball, read and write.
