Ms. Wirschem is so grateful to be teaching 4th grade at Equitas Academy. She believes that all students are made to be great, and each and every Equitas scholar is being prepared to make it to and through college. Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Ms. Wirschem moved to Los Angeles to study Elementary Education at Loyola Marymount University where she got her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education. She has worked with youth and community organizing in El Salvador and Managua, Nicaragua, and taught 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade in schools in Whittier, CA and Los Angeles. She is honored to work with Equitas, and teach the best grade there is-fourth! When not at work, Ms. Wirschem can be found at the beach, going for a run, reading a book, or hiking a trail.
