Ms. White is very excited to join the Equitas team and to meet the scholars and families of the Pico-Union community! She believes that every student should be given the opportunity to be successful and must be well prepared to graduate college. Her passion for teaching began when she volunteered at an after school program where she worked with children on homework and areas in which they were struggling. She was able to motivate and encourage them to reach their full potential. Ms. White received her Bachelor’s Degree and Multiple Subject Credential from California State University of Northridge. After completing the credential program, she worked as a substitute teacher for Burbank Unified School District. She then went on to teach at a full inclusion preschool. Throughout her educational journey, she has interacted with many students with different educational needs. One of Ms. White's strengths is identifying and meeting the individual needs of each of her students and ensuring that 100% of students are meeting the expectations set for them. Ms. White enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as golfing, bowling and listening to good music. She also loves going on walks and playing fetch with her dog, Angus.
