Mr. Shenk is excited to join the Equitas Academy team as an RSP teacher this school year. As a first generation college graduate, he recognizes that constant support and high expectations need to be established early in the educational careers of our scholars. Mr. Shenk is a strong believer that all scholars deserve to be instructed based on their individual needs. He is thrilled to be joining Equitas Academy because he wholeheartedly believes in the mission to prepare all students to graduate from four-year colleges and universities. Mr. Shenk attended Millersville University in Pennsylvania where he received his Bachelor's Degree in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Upon graduating he worked as a middle school learning support teacher in his hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. During this experience he realized just how important it is to make school a safe space where all students are welcomed and encouraged. In his free time, Mr. Shenk loves going to the beach and cheering for his favorite sports teams, the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and Sixers.
